In my years working with women, I have noticed that many would like to feel more meaningfulness in their lives, but most are in a state of overwhelm, and don’t have any idea where to start. It can seem impossible to find the time for meditation, and yet they pay what feels like a heavy price, because their every day lives threaten to consume them. Maybe you can relate:

“My children need me to be a better mom, and I feel like I’m failing. I spend most days just in survival mode.”

“My husband has just been diagnosed with an illness, and now I feel like my world is caving in around me.”

“I feel like our family schedule is out of control. But we just keep adding more, and at the end of it all, there is absolutely no time for me, and what I might need.”

What they believe is that they would need to go on an extended retreat, or just stop time, in order to feel relieved from the daily stress.

I’d like to offer up an idea – that maybe just a 2-hour time-out every week would be enough to radically shift your life.

When I was looking for a way to slow down my world, I was running 2 businesses, homeschooling my child, and performing on a regular basis in my band. I was drowning in my crazy schedule, and things began to crash.

I enrolled in a few classes, which provided some relief for me. I began to feel like myself again. I took a couple of weekends away, and found space to breathe again.

But what really shifted my life was when I began to participate in a regular circle with other men and women, who were seeking a deeper, more peaceful life, just like I was. The time commitment was an hour twice a month, but it went on for 24 months. It was not a huge chunk out of my schedule, and as I made it a priority, I felt a sense of peace, purpose and depth breathed back into my body. It was a radical shift for me, as I realized that my wellbeing was worth prioritizing.

Water-Splash-In-Bucket-600x375

Imagine your inner world as a bucket of water.

If your life has peace, or a sense of space, that space is represented by having some room in your bucket to put some more water. There is a sense of security as you lift that bucket, water won’t spill out as you move it.

If your life is in a state of overwhelm, chaos and stress, there is absolutely no room for one more drop of water in your bucket. You can see the water’s surface is actually bulging over the top of the bucket. Any minor bump or movement spills water. You can’t move it – in fact you can’t even bring it to your own lips without spilling.

In the case of having room in your bucket, when life presents you with a major crisis, you have the capability to deal with it.  You can move around freely, adding more water if required, and nothing gets spilled.

If your bucket is full and you are faced with anything – small or big – it can paralyze you, because you have absolutely no more room to cope.  Any tiny drop will cause it to overflow, and you are unable to move at all without causing spillage.

The Women’s Wisdom Circle is a sacred place to empty your bucket – to make more room.

When you come to The Women’s Wisdom Circle, you will have an opportunity to unload some of what is weighing you down. You will be able to empty your bucket in an environment with women who will not judge or advise you, but simply hold space for you to unload.  Pour out some water, and make space for what really matters in your life.

And the radical shift will be evident in your life outside of circle, as you become more present to those who are most important to you. You begin to emanate light, strength, enthusiasm, and authentic joy into your world – simply because you made the room for it.  People around you will sense that you are more spacious – feeling that they can breathe more easily when they are around you.  All from just emptying your bucket on a regular basis.  Perhaps this sounds like something you would like to experience.

What happens at The Women’s Wisdom Circle?

 In this program, you will:

  •  enjoy an evening once a week designed for self-reflection, and an opening of your heart space. This might be a meditation, drumming circle, or sometimes a special guest speaker.
  • have an opportunity to share where you are at with your life’s journey (or pass, of course) without comment, advice or judgment from others
  • take part in Cross-Cultural Indigenous Spiritual practices.
  • focus on honouring your story, and having love and self-compassion for exactly who you are, right now. There is no evaluation, judgment, or unsolicited advising.
  • be encouraged to take off your “mask” and love your truth – the messy, whole, beautiful truth.
  • enjoy an increased sense of your Divine feminine power – that soft, flowing, powerful mystery of yourself as a woman
  • be guided through sacred exercises to help heal and strengthen your spirit

What will this cost?

I carefully consider keeping the cost as comparable as possible, while still providing you with the quality of the program in a sustainable way.

What makes this program unique?

  1. 13 sessions over 3 months: Many online meditation programs are 21 days long. This is a carefully chosen number, because that is how long it takes for us to create a new habit.   This program is different – taking you long into your new habit, and encouraging you to continue to deepen your process as you go. This extended amount of time together will provide us all an opportunity to bond, to witness each of our journeys, and to make measurable shifts in how life feels for us.
  2. Your story will be held in a sacred way. Sometimes new-age programs can have you feel like you are being blamed for your own story. Like you must have been really really bad in a past life to have manifested such a childhood. Or that if you just create enough vision boards, you will be able to shift your reality. But in The Women’s Wisdom Circle, we will honour your story rather than try and get you to get over it. Yes, thinking positively is a big part of changing things for you – but that can only happen after you have been fully witnessed where you are, and where you have been.
  3. Everyone, from beginning meditators to seasoned seekers, to women of all faiths, is welcome. Your journey may be just starting, and you may have no idea what you are looking for along your spiritual path. Or maybe you have been in many mediation circles, and are looking for the perfect fit for you. All are welcome and will be honoured.

The Women’s Wisdom Circle is for a woman who is:

  • struggling with overwhelm in her daily life, and is craving her sacred sense of self, relief from stress, and some peace
  • open to spiritual and energy work, such as meditation, Reiki, and ceremony
  • willing and excited to make a firm commitment to the entire 10 Wednesdays of the Women’s Wisdom Circle
  • able to arrive at 6:15 on Wednesdays

The Women’s Wisdom Circle might also be a match for a woman who:

  • is drawn to and has a deep respect for sacred and spiritual practices of global Indigenous peoples
  • feels like she is seeking a deeper meaning in her life, or not belonging anywhere
  • is willing to fully engage and participate in her own healing, and is open to a new possibility for her life.

The Women’s Wisdom Circle is not for a woman who:

  • is looking for a quick fix to feel better in her life
  • is unable to look outside a traditional religious framework for answers to big life questions
  • is facing major life changes, such as moving or illness, in such a way that she is not able to fully engage in the program
